The Tryon Creek
Daytrippers walked in the rain today on a section of the Burnt Bridge
Creek Greenway. The paved paths were much better than mud would have
been! It was amazing to see the smiling faces of the hikers-- the
rain didn't seem to make anyone miserable at all! And the umbrellas
were colorful, to say the least. Oh yes, we did see some colorful
birds. A blue heron, I believe, and some others a "birder" might have identified
for us. Thank you, Phyllis Redman, for arranging and leading
this outing.
