Barrett Spur via Vista Ridge

August 16, 2005

Stan Landeen led the Tryon Creek Daytrippers on a difficult hike up Barrett Spur (Mt. Hood) today, by way of Vista Ridge. It was about nine miles long, with 3300' of elevation gain.  Personally, I stopped at Wy'east Basin and enjoyed loafing among the mountain springs until the more ambitious hikers returned.

When it was time to set up this webpage, I accidentally deleted all the pictures I had taken. So these are not my pictures. All of the pictures below were taken by Alan Wells except #55, which came from Sharon Hawley. Thank you, Alan and Sharon.

And thanks, Stan, for leading the hike.
